Winter Upgrade Incentive Promotion Extended through July!

Friday, April 25, 2014

Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®) is happy to announce that, due to the overwhelming success of the Winter Upgrade Incentive Promotion,  we will extend it through July 31, 2014.

During this promotion, incentive levels in areas where SoCalGas provides gas service and electrical service is provided by a municipal utility (e.g., Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Lompoc, Anaheim, etc.) will be increased from 30 percent of the statewide levels to 100 percent of the statewide levels! Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity to sell projects in areas with mature homes that stand to benefit greatly from our program.

Program Update: Change to CAZ Requirements for Gas-Only Projects

As part of our efforts to streamline program documentation and increase participation, effective April 21, 2014, Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®) has eliminated the time-consuming submittal of detailed pre-retrofit and post-retrofit combustion safety (CAZ) testing results for Energy Upgrade California™ Home Upgrade projects. Participating Contractors need to only complete very minimal information on the Pre CAZ and Post CAZ forms in the VisionDSM system. In regards to documents for submittal, the BPI Building Analyst (BA) simply completes the BPI BA Certification of Testing Form v2 which indicates if the project passes or fails CAZ testing at the measure level. The BPI BA Certification of Testing Form v2 must be submitted with each project's post-retrofit documents.
